Troubleshooting ProVJ 5 ProVJ 5 User Manual (PDF) Performance Tips:
If you are operating ProVJ 5 on a computer system with only the minimum system requirements, you may wish to improve overall video performance by: Slow importing (adding) of tracks to your Media Library: Although the ProVJ Media library can easily manage +300,000 media files, we do recommend when initially adding (importing) media files to your Library, that you separate each directory load session to 15,000 tracks (or less) at a time. Adding 20,000 - 500,000 media files at "one time" may bog your CPU resources down (due to the software pre-scanning each media file for it's BPM and ID3tag information). After adding your initial chunk of 15,000 (or less) media files, you may continue to add additional directories in chuncks of 15,000 (or less) to your media library. Once your files (1 to 500,000) have been added into the Library, you will not need to add them again. "UNSUPPORTED FORMAT" format errors: All supported Video & Karaoke formats require the installation of the ProVJ Codec Pack. This Codec is available to all users as an optional install item when installing the ProVJ 5 trial version. If you did not install this Codec during installation, you may download the ProVJ Codec Pack directly from our Online Customer Care Center.
